We are seeking an experienced IT leader to drive governance, cybersecurity, architecture standards, and innovation across our regional organisation. This role works directly with the CTO and oversees four key teams:

 

  • PMO / Portfolio Management
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Cybersecurity
  • Innovation & Emerging Technologies

You will provide strategic direction, ensure disciplined IT practices, and lead technology initiatives that support long‑term business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. IT Governance & Leadership

  • Provide leadership and direction for all IT governance activities to ensure consistency, compliance, and strong operational discipline across multiple countries.
  • Oversee the daily performance of IT Operations and IT Delivery teams to ensure services meet reliability, security, and quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve IT policies, governance frameworks, PMO methodologies, and IT Service Management processes.
  • Ensure that all IT projects follow structured processes, including project charters, feasibility studies, budgeting, resource planning, risk management, and clear milestone tracking.
  • Establish and chair architecture review boards to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic oversight on IT risk, including cybersecurity posture, technology lifecycle management, and system resilience.
  • Lead internal and external audit engagements related to IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor and guide a team of architects, PMO specialists, cybersecurity professionals, and innovation leaders to promote high performance and collaboration.

 

2. Cybersecurity Management

  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and technical controls to protect the organisation’s digital assets.
  • Ensure alignment with national and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Work with internal security teams to ensure vulnerability management, incident response, and risk mitigation plans are effective.
  • Review and strengthen cybersecurity technologies, including endpoint security, identity management, network security, and monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with auditors, regulators, and compliance teams on security assessments and follow‑up actions.

 

3. Enterprise Architecture & Technology Standards

  • Lead the development of enterprise architecture principles and ensure these standards are embedded in all technology solutions and infrastructure designs.
  • Oversee solution design reviews to ensure alignment with business needs, security requirements, and long‑term enterprise strategy.
  • Guide teams in adopting scalable and cost‑efficient technologies, including cloud, digital platforms, and AI solutions.
  • Promote best practices for system integration, data management, and platform governance.

 

4. Innovation & Emerging Technology

  • Champion the identification, evaluation, and adoption of innovative technologies that can improve patient care, operational efficiency, or business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, vendors, government agencies, and research groups to explore new technology opportunities.
  • Lead pilot programs and test‑bed initiatives, ensuring successful concepts are scaled across the organisation.
  • Drive innovation culture within IT teams and business stakeholders through workshops, education, and discovery sessions.
  • Secure partnerships and funding support for strategic tech initiatives through grants and government programmes.

 

5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Work closely with business leaders to understand their needs and prioritise IT demand and capacity.
  • Provide clear communication on project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior management.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management to ensure quality service and value for investment.
  • Build strong relationships across departments, regional teams, and external partners.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • 15+ years of IT leadership experience, with exposure across multiple countries or regional operations.
  • Strong experience in enterprise governance, cybersecurity, architecture, and large‑scale IT delivery.
  • Proven track record leading innovation and emerging technology projects from concept to rollout.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor high‑performing teams and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to lead in a multi‑country environment.
  • Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and IT service sourcing.
